Peacemaker is an American superhero television series created by James Gunn for HBO Max, based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The first season, a spin-off of *The Suicide Squad* (2021), follows jingoistic vigilante Chris Smith (John Cena) as he is forced to join a black ops squad. The second season, set after *Superman* (2025), integrates the series into the new DC Universe.
