Our mission
We exist to give film fans coverage that respects their time and intelligence — accurate reporting, useful reviews, and context that goes beyond the press release. Our editors live and breathe cinema; our writing is meant to be read quickly, but trusted long after.
Editorial standards
Every story published on MoviesSavvy is fact-checked against primary sources before it goes live. We attribute reporting clearly, mark opinion pieces as opinion, and update articles with an "updated" stamp when material facts change. Corrections appear at the bottom of the original story so the record stays public.
How we work with studios
We attend press junkets, screenings and festivals, and we occasionally accept travel and accommodation from studios for coverage opportunities — this is disclosed on stories where it applies. No coverage decision, score or recommendation is ever conditional on access or advertising. Editorial and commercial reporting lines do not cross.
Reviews policy
Reviews are the opinion of the credited writer, not a committee. We publish under embargo when an embargo applies; we do not publish reviews of unfinished cuts. A score, where given, reflects the writer's holistic judgement, not a checklist.
Tips, corrections & rights
Got a story or a correction? Reach our editors directly via the contact page or by emailing [email protected]. For copyright, takedown or republication requests, see our Terms of Service.
Independence & ownership
MoviesSavvy is independently owned and operated. We carry advertising and run affiliate links on a small subset of pages — these are clearly labelled and never influence editorial coverage. For advertising or partnership inquiries, contact [email protected].
