Robert Clark "Bob" Seger is an American retired singer, songwriter, and musician known for his distinctive raspy voice and heartland rock sound. He gained national prominence in the 1970s with his band, the Silver Bullet Band, and through solo efforts, selling over 75 million records worldwide. Seger was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012.
